Rachel Zoe recommends wearing open-toed shoes with tights this winter. “Obviously, if there is snow on the ground, then no. But that old thing about not wearing tights with an open-toe doesn’t exist anymore. And it’s a very economical way to winterize your spring accessories.” she told New York Fashion
That's good news for all of us who unashamedly put on our tights and then slip on a pair of peep toes. And if you are worried about your tootsies getting cold, a nice pair of opaques will keep them warm.

Did Rachel Die advise Kate Hudson on sheer tights with sandals |

Ms Zoe was apparently wearing peep-toe Givenchy wedges on her feet when she was interviewed so we know she practises what she preaches.

Peep toe wedgies |

But your peep toes don't have to be wedgies |

..and your wedgies don't have to be peep-toed |
JoyofTights suspects that Ms Zoe was referring to thicker opaque tights rather than to sheer tights. As an American she would refer to sheer tights as "pantyhose". JoyofTights thinks that sheer tights go just as well with peep toe shoes. Much better to have a smooth nyloned toe peeping out than a somewhat mangy naked toe.
I suspect that males find something sexy about the way toes peek out of peep toe shoes. Men like it when you partially hide and partially reveal. Perhaps they want to run there tongues over your peeping toes. Or perhaps your toes poking out remind him of how he wants to poke into you.
A downside of high heeled peep toed shoes is the way they force your toes through a hole. Of course your tights provide some protection. But if you are wearing peep toes for any length of time, lower heels may be more comfortable.
Or just slip your peep toes off now and then to give your toes a rest.
