Kate returns to her opaque style

Princess Kate who made nude tights fashionable, returns to the opaques of her student days.   Choosing a £69.99 high street find for last nights Princes Trust Concert at the Royal Albert Hall, Kate teamed her bargain buy with her fave black Ralph Lauren blazer, opaque tights and a pair of her signature style court shoes.

While it showed off her shapely legs, it also appeared to make her slightly self-conscious, and she could be seen repeatedly tugging the dress down.

Will the cream lace mini-dress from Zara sell out like the £49.99 Zara cornflower blue dress which she had on the day after her wedding?  Will opaque tights sales boom like those of nude tights?  Will the opaque tights be paired with mini-dresses?  Joy of Tights hopes so.

Opaque tights can be smart and sexy, but too often are hidden under longer dresses and skirts.

Opaque tights can keep your legs warm, and are more "modest" than sheer styles, so why not wear them with something short to show off your pins.  Joy of Tights is pleased that some of us are:

But opaques don't guarentee modesty.  So perhaps Princess Kate is right to be wary of her mini-dress.
