Found on a recent random web crawl, more boots I'd max my credit card out on:

They are Rosegold gray ankle boots from GILT.  I'm in love with the stacked heel and buckle. And here they are on the model:

Just to show you don't need to be 17 to wear tights with shorts.  Although Joy of Tights' half century is probably too old :(  And another view.
